Lars Jakob Rudjord
Pianist and composer living in Farsund. He has released three critically acclaimed albums: Clockwork (2013), Indiepiano (2016) and Let Tomorrow Be Better (2020). He has written several commissioned works, including for the North Sea Festival in Farsund, the Nordic Contemporary Poetry Festival and the East Norwegian Jazz Center, and also made music for NRK. As an artist and performer, he has played on small and large stages around the world, both with his own music, and with musicians such as Karl Seglem, Moddi, Ingvild Koksvik, Vegar Vårdal, Sigrid Moldestad and Håkon Høgemo.
In 2021, he wrote the commissioned work "Kjempe-Jo" for the Farsund Folk Festival and Riksscenen, where he drew inspiration from Agder music and mixed the folk music expression with Nordic jazz and modern classical music. The work was premiered at the Farsund Folk Festival, and will be released as an album in spring 2024.
