In the spring of 2024, Ånon Egeland's new book, "EIN GAMMEL EIN A' FARSES. Fiddle playing west of Agder," published by the renowned company Ta:lik. The publication contains a book of 188 pages with 125 thoroughly annotated recordings of rare traditional music, accurately transcribed after recordings with older fiddle players from the west of Agder. The book is accompanied by 2 CDs with archive footage from 1920-1983, as well as unique photographic material. "EIN GAMMEL EIN A' FARSES" is a milestone in the regional music history of Agder.
To celebrate this, we have invited Ånon Egeland to bring along a carefully selected star team of musicians from Agder, and together they present material from the release in a particularly exciting concert at Backes Bu! Ånon promises sparkling interaction followed by exciting stories, and this is guaranteed to be an evening you don't want to miss! The concert and the book publication have been made possible with a grant from Agder County Municipality.
