In this performance, we meet the mysterious dancing dolls of Berit at Pynten. When Berit plays her long game, both small and large dolls begin to dance. Is it magic in the music that brings them to life? And is it any fun to be a dancing doll who can only dance when someone else decides to?
Berit på Pynten was a famous fiddle player in Valdres in the 19th century and entertained guests with song, dance and fiddle playing on his homestead in Vestre Slide. She was also known to use dancing dolls which she attached to a thread in her hand. Today there are many stories and recorded music about Berit - including from Edvard Grieg.
