Geirr Lystrup has released a number of demo albums and children's records, written several books and a play, most of them for children. He has written lyrics for five albums with Per Oddvar Hildre and Det Norske Kammerkor. He has been in the Nordic folk music ensemble Kvedar and collaborated with the Moscow Balalaika Quartet and SKRUK on the Christmas program "Star from the East". He made his debut in 1972 with the album Ti på taket and Måltrostblues.
Geirr Lystrup is a Norwegian singer and writer. He is a versatile troubadour who has contributed to renewing the Norwegian show tradition. Lystrup sings in dialect and Nynorsk and is known for his close, warm, humorous and often socially critical lyrics.
FOLK på Backes is Farsund Folk Festival's year-round concert series. The concert series is supported by the Norwegian Culture Council and Folkekademiet.
