You can start the evening with a Sjanti concert at 19.00, and then experience two strong duos from 8.30 p.m.
For NOK 200. you get the whole Friday evening in Eilert Sundthallen.
First up is the cohabiting couple Kevin Henderson and Annika Wasgård from 8.30 p.m
Annika Westgård is a harding fiddle player and folk singer from Kragerø (Telemark).
It is especially the Telemark tradition she has immersed herself in, but she also plays tunes from other parts of the country and she has a great love for Swedish folk music. She therefore has a large repertoire consisting of Swedish folk tunes and shows. Annika also composes her own tunes.
Kevin Henderson is an internationally recognized fiddler from Shetland, living in Kragerø. Kevin's musical expression is built on the rich fiddle music tradition from Shetland, and is inspired by his long participation in leading bands such as Boys of the Lough, Fiddlers Bid, Session A9 and Nordic Fiddlers Bloc. The result is expressive and adventurous, an individual musical style of its own.
Then Kevin and Annika hand over the stage to Sarah – Jane Summers and Juhani Silvola
This international and critically acclaimed duo lives in Nesodden, and has the entire shelter as their workplace.
Sarah – Jane and Juhani were in Farsund and played from their album Widdershins in 2017 in the Folkemusikkscena concert series. We look forward to seeing and hearing them during the opening concert on Thursday, duo concert on Friday and as part of the Farsund Folk Session on Saturday, among other things.
On Friday evening in Eilert Sundthallen, we create a FOLK club atmosphere, cafe tables, there will be catering and a pleasant end to the Friday evening together with Sarah - Jane and Juhani.
Sarah-Jane is a respected traditionalist from Scotland with a master's degree in Norwegian folk music and improvisation from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Her musical voice is unique, and Summers is in several ensembles and plays with many different musicians: RANT, Elin Kåven, Ingrid Håvik and the trio Mala Fama.
Juhani Silvola is a sought-after guitarist and producer, who has played with the Erlend Viken Trio, Adjagas, Highasakite, Earlybird Stringband and Elin Kåven.
Together they are a critically acclaimed duo that mixes traditional music and experimental elements. Sarah-Jane Summers & Juhani Silvola play intimate, inspired and intense music performed with brilliant virtuosity, playful improvisation and seamless interaction
Duo concert with Sarah-Jane Summers (Scotland) and Juhani Silvola. (Finland) This international and critically acclaimed duo lives in Nesodden, and has previously played at Folkemusikkscena. We are delighted that they will be part of the festival this year and hold a separate concert on Friday evening in Eilert Sundthallen.

Ang concerts in Eilert Sundthallen
Entrance in the lock to the sports hall in Inger Sundts gate, on the upper side of the Aula. There will be table service inside the hall, plenty of space between the tables and disinfection available. As an audience, you must have good hand hygiene and keep your distance. Everyone must sit on the same chair and not change tables during the performance. Payment only with tips and cards. Preferably come on foot, or park at Amfi, Nytorvet, or Verven. We will do our best to inform about any detours in Storgata.
Be patient, show consideration and take care of each other by keeping a distance of 1 meter and by staying home if you have symptoms or proven covid 9. It is your responsibility!
