The North Sea concert is our signature concert, or our party concert if you like! Here we put together a large ensemble, and interaction and new meetings between musicians are at the centre. Here, the festival's origins are cultivated, namely the kinship found in the music from the countries around the North Sea. Life by the sea, the weather, everyday life and parties are described through melodies and lyrics, and the similarities between countries bordering the sea are more than the differences. This creates an interaction and an energy that surprises and hits us every single year. This concert is unique, and there are always surprises. Here you get a star team of performers on stage, and if we have to recommend one concert, it's the North Sea Concert!
This year, Sudan Dudan will lead the concert, with Sondre Meisfjord as Kapellmeister. The concert is produced by Knut Egil Kristiansen in collaboration with the musicians.
