The North Sea Concert is our signature concert. The gala concert if you will. Here, the interaction between the musicians, in a large ensemble, is the main ingredient. Here, the festival's origins are cultivated, namely the kinship found in the music from the countries around the North Sea.
Life by the sea, the weather, everyday life and parties are described through melodies and lyrics, and the similarities in the countries linked to the sea are more than the differences. This creates an interaction and an energy that surprises and hits us every year.
Knut Egil Kristiansen is the artistic director for the concert, and puts together the musicians and program in collaboration but is musically responsible on stage. This concert is unique, and there are always surprises.
You always experience a star team on stage, and if we have to recommend one concert, it's the North Sea Concert!
