WHERE: Festival pub Saturday and The chapel concert Sunday

For over a decade, Kolonien has been a natural part of the Nordic folk music scene. With their characteristic polyphonic singing and diversity of musical influences, they have challenged the image of modern folk music and created their own creative colony; a mix of acoustic roots music and hopeful sing-along pop that brings several worlds together.

The colony's debut album "Clockwise" came out in 2012, and the band was awarded the prize for "Newcomer of the Year" at the Folk and World Music Festival. With album number two "Drömmarnas Land" (2015), interest in the band grew internationally, and after a showcase at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City in 2018, Kolonien tours annually in North America and Europe. In April 2022, the long-awaited third album "Till Skogen" came out on the well-known American record company Cumbancha, and has been praised both in Sweden and internationally.
