Lines: Hiking on Varbak
25 August 2023 20:45–22:30
kr 200
Musical, picturesque, mysterious and majestic: join a magical walk on Varbak in the twilight hours! We light the entire area, you can hear the music from between the trees or behind the knolls, we have musicians, and sound installations and art experiences both here and there along the path. You've never experienced Varbak like this before!
Originally "Lines" was a commissioned piece for the Farsund Folk Festival written by Vegar Vårdal. A limited number of the public got to experience the premiere in 2020, but this year we can finally invite you to a concert tour without corona restrictions. We have invited a large number of performers to create a completely unique concert experience along the hiking trail around Farsund's city mountain, and you will experience an exciting and varied musical walk with a number of different experiences. In addition to professional musicians and folk dancers, local artists and students from the municipality's primary schools and the "Sea Monster" project from Farsund secondary school also take part.
