Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen is 26 years old and comes from Folldal in Innlandet. She is a folk musician, educator and singer. She has a bachelor's degree as a subject teacher in music from Nord University, Levanger, and she is currently studying a master's in performing folk music at the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Growing up was characterized by a lot of music, especially folk music and traditional dance. Folldal, Østerdalen and Trøndelag are the traditional areas in which she has immersed herself the most. The repertoire ranges from hymns and bånsulle, to haystacks and shilling songs.

In the autumn of 2021, she came out with her debut album "Home", for which she received a fiddler's nomination. In November 2022, she also received the folk alarm award for best solo album. Hjemve has received a number of good reviews from both the Norwegian and international press.

She is in the A class at the landscape nursery, and has received a number of awards in recent years. In 2019, she was selected as Hilmartalent, which is a national talent award for folk music and folk dance. She has also received talent grants from, among others, sparebank1, Folldal municipality and Terje Vasskog's memorial fund. She has several good placements at competitions within Norwegian folk music and has also been named the year's dance speller at kappleik several times.
